Water level

A water level is used when a spirit level is too small to reach the full length of a horizontal structure such as floors. The water level is a hose with two clear plastic tubes at either end. The tubes are filled with a small amount of water. The hose is then layed on the floor while the two plastic tube are held vertically, when the water levels are the same in both tubes then you know that the floor is level.
